MAPH Option in Digital Humanities

The Master of Arts Program in the Humanities Option in Digital Humanities is intended for students who are interested in investigating topics that consider how new technologies are used to investigate traditional objects of humanistic inquiry as well as the humanistic study and critique of digital technology itself and its cultural impact. In addition to the MAPH Core and three elective courses, students will take a three-quarter survey course covering the basics of computer programming and statistics, critical studies in various fields of the humanities, and culminating in a final thesis project.
